Living donor transplantation is a key part of restoring health in patients with severe kidney or liver disease or end-stage organ failure. Living uterus donation is utilized for women with absolute uterine factor infertility who undergo transplant to have a baby. Nurses, clinicians, clergy, and social workers play a pivotal role in communicating the option of living organ donation to patients, families, friends, and other potential living donors. This symposium will enhance knowledge of the clinical, financial, psychosocial, advocacy, ethical, and regulatory issues related to living donation.
