Lung Cancer Lunch & Learn

Course Description

November is Lung Cancer Awareness Month. This year’s Lung Cancer Symposium will highlight fighting lung cancer. The multidisciplinary presentations cover innovative diagnosis, staging and treatment of lung cancer. Services offered on the Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Plano campus and within Baylor Scott & White Charles A. Sammons Cancer Center will be detailed. Test drive the da Vinci robot before and after the presentations.

  • Identify who should and how to screen for lung cancer.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how lung cancer is staged.
  • Describe medical treatment options for lung cancer.
  • Recognize techniques and results in the treatment of lung cancer.

Target Audience

This course is designed for primary care physicians, pulmonologists, oncologists, surgeons, advanced practice nurses, and all other providers who care for lung cancer patients in any setting. The community is also welcomed to appreciate lung cancer awareness.
