Course Description

The Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) program offers an opportunity for collaboration with leading experts in the field of ERAS with a goal to hasten functional recovery and improve postoperative outcomes. Successful implementation of an ERAS program requires a multidisciplinary team effort and active participation of the patient in the recovery program.

Key elements to be discussed include:

  • Why ERAS protocols are important
  • Key criteria to examine when initiating ERAS protocols
  • Critical aspects of successful ERAS protocols
